Construction on Private Land Allegedly Stopped, Victim Appeals to Police Commissioner for Justice<\/strong><\/p>\n

Resident of Kanakpur Alleges Administrative Collusion and Harassment in Land Dispute<\/strong><\/p>\n

Varanasi, May 25: A land dispute in Kanakpur village under Rajatalab police station area of Varanasi has intensified after a local resident accused certain individuals and administrative officials of unlawfully halting the construction of his house on private land. The victim has now appealed to the Police Commissioner at Babatpur seeking justice and protection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the complainant, the disputed land is his private property located at Arazi No. 43, area 3530, in Mauza Kanakpur, Tehsil Rajatalab, district Varanasi, where he had been carrying out construction work for his residential house. He alleged that a villager, Surendra Kumar, has been deliberately trying to stop the construction by falsely claiming that the house is being built on drainage land.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The complainant stated that the Rajatalab Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) had earlier conducted a demarcation of the drain at the site, which clearly established that the under-construction house does not fall within the drainage area. A revenue department team had also reportedly verified the facts and permitted the construction work to continue.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite this, the opposing party allegedly continued to create obstacles in the construction process. The victim further accused local administrative and tehsil officials of acting in collusion and exerting pressure to stop the work. He claimed that some officials even cited \u201cpressure from higher authorities\u201d while preventing the construction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The complainant said he had previously approached the local police station and the ACP office, but no effective action was taken.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Subsequently, he submitted a written complaint to the Police Commissioner at Babatpur. According to the complainant, the police authority recorded written instructions stating that the applicant possesses valid revenue records, land documents, and supporting evidence. The order further noted that unless the opposing party presents any valid revenue report or an order from a competent court or authority, the construction work should not be stopped without justification.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The victim has demanded impartial action from the administration and sought police protection to continue construction on his private land without further interference.<\/strong><\/p>\n
