Varanasi Girl Shines in Nagpur: Jagriti Yadav Wins Bronze at National Boxing Championship

Nagpur: Demonstrating exceptional skill and determination, Jagriti Yadav, a talented boxer from Varanasi, secured a bronze medal at the Junior Boys and Girls National Boxing Championship held in Nagpur, Maharashtra, from April 4 to April 12.
Representing the Mahadev Surya Vinayak Boxing Academy, Jagriti delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament. She defeated her first opponent from Andhra Pradesh via RSC (Referee Stopped Contest). In her second bout, she outclassed a boxer from Karnataka in the very first round, again winning by RSC. Continuing her winning streak, she dominated her third fight against a Manipur खिलाड़ी, securing a convincing victory. Although she faced defeat in the fourth bout, her overall performance earned her a well-deserved bronze medal.
Jagriti’s achievement is a result of her hard work, discipline, and dedication. Her coach, Dilip Kumar Singh, praised her performance and expressed confidence in her potential to achieve greater success in the future.
Her parents, Mansa Yadav and Rekha Yadav, expressed immense pride in their daughter’s accomplishment. Grandparents Rajnath Yadav and Malti Devi also extended their blessings for her bright future.
Congratulatory messages poured in from various quarters. Boxing Federation of India General Secretary Pramod Kumar, Varanasi Boxing Association President Neelu Mishra, and Secretary Janardan Yadav lauded her achievement. Shashikant Pandey, Chief Patron of the academy, also congratulated both the player and the coach.
Jagriti Yadav’s success has brought pride not only to her family but to the entire region.
