Kashi Gets Major Boost: PM Narendra Modi Unveils Projects Worth ₹6,332 Crore
Varanasi: During his visit to Kashi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 163 development projects worth ₹6,332 crore. This includes the inauguration of 50 projects valued at ₹1,054.69 crore and the foundation laying of 113 projects worth ₹5,277.39 crore.
Key projects include a “Signature Bridge” near Malviya Bridge to be constructed at a cost of ₹2,464 crore, sewerage and water supply schemes worth ₹1,582 crore, and a multi-specialty hospital in Kabirchaura costing ₹429 crore. Additionally, a Road Over Bridge (ROB) at Kajjakpura built at a cost of ₹144 crore was also inaugurated.
Several initiatives related to ghat renovation, tourism development, roads, drinking water, healthcare, and education were also launched. The Prime Minister stated that these projects will accelerate the development of Kashi and significantly improve the quality of life for its residents.
