Advanced CTVS Unit & 70-Bed Critical Care Facility Launched in Varanasi
Varanasi has received a major boost in healthcare with the launch of a state-of-the-art Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) unit and a 70-bed critical care facility at Popular Hospital. This development will enable treatment of complex heart and vascular diseases within the city, reducing the need for patients to travel to metro cities.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Piyush Hari stated that a 24×7 expert team along with advanced equipment will provide improved emergency and surgical care. Chairman Dr. A.K. Kaushik and MD Dr. Kiran Kaushik emphasized the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare locally.
CTVS Surgeon Dr. Harendra Ojha informed that advanced procedures such as open-heart surgery, bypass, and valve replacement will now be performed as per international standards. The facility is expected to benefit patients from Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and nearby regions.
