National Conference on Antimicrobials Held at IMS-BHU
Varanasi: A one-day national conference on “Antimicrobials – Evidence to Excellence” was organized at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University on Sunday. The conference focused on the rational use of antibiotics, their side effects, and the risks of unnecessary usage.
The event was inaugurated with floral tribute to Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Vice-Chancellor Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi attended as the chief guest, while Ranveer Tyagi and Sanjay Gupta were present as guests of honour.
Organizing Secretary Arun Raj Pandey said that critical care experts from across the country participated in the conference and shared their views on antimicrobial stewardship and evidence-based treatment practices.
