Ashwani–Shivdayal Pair Registers Second Consecutive Victory in District Carrom League
Varanasi, May 27:
On the fourth day of the 5th Late Ramagya Singh Memorial District Carrom League Tournament, being organized under the aegis of the Varanasi District Carrom Association at Smt. Chandra Tripathi Memorial Sports Hall, Englishia Line, the men’s doubles pair of Ashwani Chakrawal and Shivdayal Yadav registered their second consecutive win.
The duo defeated Noorain Khan and Vaibhav Narayan Singh convincingly by 25-5 and 25-7.
In another men’s doubles match, Ashwani Maurya and Priyanshu Yadav secured their first victory after defeating Shahid Jamal and Suraj Prasad in a closely contested encounter by 22-5, 13-22 and 19-10.
In the women’s doubles category, Ritambhara and Soumya Yadav began their campaign on a winning note by defeating Jagrati Soni and Kavya Seth 25-5 and 24-6.
The tournament proceedings were conducted under the supervision of chief referee Ramesh Kumar Verma and organizing secretary Ashwini Chakrawala.
