Kapsethi Police Recover Abducted Minor Girl Safely, One Juvenile Detained
Varanasi: Kapsethi Police have safely recovered an abducted minor girl and taken a juvenile into custody on charges of enticing and abducting her. The action was carried out as part of the crime prevention and control According to the police, acting on a tip-off from an informer, the Kapsethi Police recovered a 16-year-old minor girl in a safe condition near the foot overbridge of Sevapuri Railway Station, under the jurisdiction of Kapsethi police station. During the recovery, a 13-year-old juvenile, identified as Darsh Dubey alias Chandan, a resident of Raghunathpur village under Kapsethi police station, was taken under police supervision.
The recovered girl is also a resident of Raghunathpur village. In this connection, Case No. 023/2026 has been registered at Kapsethi Police Station under Sections 87 and 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and necessary legal proceedings are underway. The minor girl has been kept under the supervision of a woman police personnel.
During police interrogation, the juvenile denied the allegations and stated that he would present his defense before the court through his advocate. No previous criminal record of the juvenile has been found.
After completing the required formalities, both were sent to the concerned court for further legal proceedings in accordance with the law.
