Northeast Railway GM Inspects Banaras Station, Reviews Passenger Amenities and Security

Varanasi, April 27, 2026:
The General Manager of Northeast Railway, Uday Borwankar, conducted an inspection of Banaras Railway Station on Monday along with Divisional Railway Manager, Varanasi, Ashish Jain. During the visit, he reviewed passenger amenities, security arrangements, and the progress of ongoing development works at the station.
The General Manager assessed various facilities available to passengers, including station cleanliness, platform conditions, waiting halls, drinking water, ticketing services, parking, and lighting व्यवस्था. He also carried out a detailed inspection of facilities provided for दिव्यांग (differently-abled) passengers. Officials were directed to ensure continuous improvement in passenger amenities while maintaining high quality standards.
While reviewing security arrangements, he instructed the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) to remain more vigilant to ensure passenger safety. Additionally, he emphasized the timely and quality completion of infrastructure-related development projects.
Senior officials from the headquarters and the division were also present on the occasion.
