Public Outrage Erupts Over Manish Singh Murder Case; Demand for ₹2 Crore Compensation and Government Job
Varanasi: Public anger continues to intensify over the brutal murder of Manish Singh in Ghamahapur on April 26, 2026. Despite an FIR being registered against eight named accused, various social organizations have stepped up their demand for justice for the victim’s family.
A delegation led by Kunwar Avneesh Singh, National President of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha Yuva, and State Organization Minister Shailendra Pratap Singh submitted a detailed memorandum to the Police Commissioner of Varanasi. The memorandum not only calls for strict action against the accused but also raises critical concerns regarding the safety and future of the victim’s family.
According to the memorandum, Manish Singh was the sole breadwinner of his family, which includes his wife, elderly grandmother, two young daughters, and a six-month-old son. The family is currently facing severe financial and social hardship. In view of this, the organization has demanded financial assistance of ₹2 crore and a government job for the deceased’s wife.
The memorandum also calls for action against the properties of the accused. It states that if any of the accused have constructed houses on illegal land, proper measurement should be conducted and demolition action should follow.
Additionally, allegations have been made that the victim’s family is receiving continuous threats. The organization has demanded adequate security for the family and issuance of an arms license to the victim’s wife for self-protection.
Kunwar Avneesh Singh termed the incident as “a blot on humanity” and urged the administration to take swift and decisive action with a humanitarian approach.
Copies of the memorandum have also been sent to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the Principal Secretary (Home), the Director General of Police, and the District Magistrate of Varanasi.
