Growing Employment Opportunities for Youth in the Mental Health Sector: Dr. Ajay Tiwari
Varanasi At a press conference organized on Saturday at Nai Subah Institute of Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences, Varanasi, founder and senior psychiatrist Dr. Ajay Tiwari said that the field of mental health is emerging rapidly and is set to provide significant employment opportunities for youth in the coming years.
He stated that due to changing lifestyles, stress, family disintegration, substance abuse, unemployment, and the growing influence of the internet, mental health issues are increasing rapidly, leading to a continuous rise in demand for trained professionals.
Dr. Tiwari highlighted that hospitals, medical colleges, schools, rehabilitation centers, and private institutions are increasingly requiring Clinical Psychologists, Rehabilitation Psychologists, and Counsellors.
He informed that the institute is currently offering courses such as B.Sc. in Clinical Psychology, Master’s in Clinical Psychology, and PG Diploma programmes.
Appealing to students and parents, Dr. Tiwari urged them to consider the mental health sector as a promising career option as well as a meaningful avenue for social service.
