Dr. Geeta Rani Welcomes MP High Court Verdict on Bhojshala Temple
Varanasi: Dr. Geeta Rani, National Vice President of the Matri Shakti Cell of the Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh, has welcomed the verdict of the Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding the Bhojshala dispute. In a statement issued from Varanasi, she said that the Division Bench of the High Court has recognized Bhojshala as a temple dedicated to Maa Saraswati, also known as Maa Vagdevi, and termed the decision historic for the Hindu community.
Dr. Geeta Rani stated that the dispute over Bhojshala had been continuing for a long time and the court’s verdict has now brought clarity to the matter. She appreciated the court’s decision to keep the Bhojshala complex under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) while also granting the Hindu side the right to offer prayers at the site.
She further said that Bhojshala, located in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, is an ancient and historically significant Hindu temple. According to historical beliefs, it was established in the 11th century by the renowned Parmar ruler King Bhoj as a major center for Sanskrit learning and education. The site was originally regarded as a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, known as “Saraswati Sadan.
