Dashashwamedh Ghat looked divine and spiritually vibrant on the occasion of Ganga Dashahara as thousands of devotees gathered to witness the grand Maha Ganga Aarti organized by the Gangotri Seva Samiti.
Under the guidance of the Samiti’s founder president Pt. Kishori Raman Dubey (Babu Maharaj), Maa Ganga was ceremonially worshipped with 501 litres of milk, fruits, flowers, and sweets through the traditional Shodashopachar ritual. The event also spread the message of a clean and pure Ganga.
Eleven Vedic priests performed the grand aarti, while 21 young girls symbolically represented divine feminine energy by waving ceremonial fans during the ritual.
Chief Guest Neelkanth Tiwari described Ganga Dashahara as a festival dedicated to expressing gratitude towards Maa Ganga and preserving the sanctity of the holy river.
The devotional evening was further enriched by soulful bhajan performances by renowned singer Sushil Baweja, leaving devotees mesmerized. The programme was conducted by Rajesh Shukla, Convenor of Namami Gange Kashi Region.
