Call for Leaders to Use Firewood if LPG Shortage Hits, Says Shashi Pratap Singh

Varanasi Shashi Pratap Singh, convener of the National Equal Party in Varanasi, while speaking to regional media, demanded that if the country faces a shortage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), the use of firewood for cooking should begin from the homes of the Prime Minister and village heads.
He said the government should stop LPG supply to public representatives and provide that gas free of cost to poor households. Singh added that if the government fails to manage the situation, it would reflect a failure of the country’s foreign policy and supply management, and the government should take responsibility. He also appealed to the public to remain patient, stating that the spirit of sacrifice should begin with those in power.
