ICAI Varanasi Branch Organises Seminar on GST and New Income Tax Law
Varanasi: The Varanasi Branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India organised a seminar on “GST” at Hotel Balaji Palace, Mahmoorganj, on Saturday. The seminar featured detailed discussions on “Income Tax Act 2025 and Changes in Rules” and “Issues and Solutions in Appeals before GST Tribunal.”
Key speaker CA Prerna Kishore Peshori stated that the new Income Tax Act will come into effect from April 1, 2026, with simplified language and procedures aimed at making compliance easier for taxpayers.
Another speaker, CA Gaurav Gupta, highlighted practical challenges faced while filing appeals before the GST Appellate Tribunal and suggested effective solutions to address them.
The programme was chaired by CA Rashmi Kesarwani and former chairman CA Sanjay Ojha. The event was conducted by CA Tanvi Singh and CA Divya Bhardwaj.
