BJP Protests Against Remarks on PM Modi, Burns Effigies of Rahul Gandhi and Ajay Rai
Varanasi: BJP workers staged a strong protest at the district headquarters on Monday against alleged objectionable remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and UP Congress chief Ajay Rai against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Raising slogans against the Congress leaders, BJP workers demanded a public apology and burnt effigies of Rahul Gandhi and Ajay Rai during the demonstration.
Addressing the gathering, BJP leaders termed the remarks against PM Modi as unfortunate and condemnable, stating that the country would not tolerate such language against a globally respected leader. They warned that protests would continue until an apology is issued by the Congress leaders.
