Village Heads Express Gratitude Over Extension of Panchayat Tenure

694 Gram Pradhans Call Chief Minister’s Decision a Historic Step

 

Varanasi, May 25, 2026: Under the leadership of District President Rakesh Kumar Singh, 694 Gram Pradhans of Varanasi district have expressed happiness and gratitude towards the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for extending the tenure of Panchayats by one year and assigning Gram Pradhans the responsibility of administrators.

District President Rakesh Kumar Singh termed the Chief Minister’s decision as a historic step aimed at strengthening villages, farmers, the poor, and the Panchayati Raj system. He stated that the decision would ensure continuity in ongoing development works in rural areas and provide direct benefits to the common people.

He further said that all Gram Pradhans of Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, feel encouraged and proud of this decision. By showing trust in Panchayat representatives, the government has further strengthened the roots of democracy.

All Gram Pradhans and office bearers of the National Panchayati Raj Pradhan Organization, Varanasi, once again conveyed their heartfelt thanks, gratitude, and congratulations to the Chief Minister.
