Noorain-Vaibhav Pair Shines, Ashwani and Gaurav Win Singles Matches
Third Day of 5th Late Ramagya Singh Memorial District Carrom League Championship
Varanasi, May 26:
On the third day of the 5th Late Ramagya Singh Memorial District Carrom League Championship, being organized under the aegis of the Varanasi District Carrom Association at Smt. Chandra Tripathi Memorial Sports Hall, Englishia Line, exciting men’s doubles and singles matches were played.
In the men’s doubles category, the experienced pair of Noorain Khan and Vaibhav Narayan Singh registered an impressive straight-game victory over the young duo of Nishant Singh and Divyansh Singh by 23-5 and 25-8 to secure full points.
In the men’s singles matches, senior player Ashwani Chakrawal defeated Shri Prasad Soni convincingly by 24-10 and 25-9. Meanwhile, talented young player Gaurav Gupta outplayed emerging player Nishant Singh by 24-14 and 25-10 to earn two crucial points.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of international referee and chief referee of the tournament Ramesh Kumar Verma along with organizing secretary Ashwani Chakrawal. The umpiring duties were performed by Jamunadhar Gupta, Renuka Rai, Harshit Kesari, Shri Prasad Soni and Krishna Dayal Yadav.
