Intellectuals Have a Crucial Role in Building India’s Future: Prem Shuka
Varanasi: A seminar on the topic “Responsibility of Intellectuals in India’s Future” was organized on Sunday at Navigation House, Chhitauni under the aegis of Prabuddhajan Kashi Nyas. Addressing the gathering as the chief speaker, BJP National Spokesperson Prem Shukla said that India is emerging as a new global power and at such a time, the responsibility of the intellectual community becomes even more significant.
He stated that nation-building is not driven by governments alone, but also by social awareness, positive thinking and cultural values. He emphasized that teachers, journalists, doctors, advocates, litterateurs and social workers should play an active role in promoting national interest, social harmony and the preservation of Indian culture.
Shukla further said that developing patriotism, discipline and positive thinking among the youth is the need of the hour.
The chief guest of the event, Dr. Nagendra Kumar Singh, Director of Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya Hindi Journalism Institute, said that the intellectual class provides ideological leadership to society. He added that if intellectuals remain aware and responsible, society will move in the right direction. He also elaborated on the role of media and educational institutions.
Guest speaker Dr. Ajayendra Kumar Dubey stressed that it is everyone’s responsibility to pass on India’s cultural heritage and Sanatan values to the younger generation. He highlighted the importance of social awareness, moral education and national unity.
Presiding over the event, Captain Mohan Prasad Yadav said that all sections of society should work together with the spirit of “Nation First.” He called upon intellectuals to help create a positive social environment.
The programme was conducted by Dr. Sanjay Singh Gautam, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Ravi Singh.
