Purvanchal Trophy: Bhadohi Ramlila and Varanasi A Register Impressive Wins
Varanasi: On the second day of the Purvanchal Trophy organized under the aegis of Adarsh Foundation De-addiction Centre and Varanasi Cricket Association, two matches were played in which Bhadohi Ramlila Cricket Academy and Varanasi A delivered dominant performances to secure convincing victories.
First Match: Bhadohi Ramlila Academy vs Chandauli Cricket Academy
The first match of the day was played between Bhadohi Ramlila Cricket Academy and Chandauli Cricket Academy. After winning the toss, Bhadohi Ramlila Academy opted to bat first and posted a massive total of 240 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket in 20 overs.
Anup Yadav starred with a शानदार innings, scoring 153 runs off 75 balls, while Krishna supported him well with 51 runs. For Chandauli, Hamdan was the lone wicket-taker.
Chasing the huge target, Chandauli Cricket Academy was bowled out for just 90 runs in 15.3 overs. Mudit Yadav scored 37 runs and Suryansh contributed 15 runs, but no other batter could reach double figures.
For Bhadohi Ramlila, Lucky, Arjun, Raunak, and Krishna took two wickets each, delivering an excellent bowling performance. Bhadohi Ramlila Academy won the match by 130 runs.
For his outstanding performance, Anup Yadav was awarded the Man of the Match for his 153-run knock. The award was presented by Saroj Rai on behalf of Rai Sports.
Second Match: Varanasi A vs Lathiyan Cricket Academy
The second match of the day was played between Varanasi A and Lathiyan Cricket Academy. After winning the toss, Varanasi A batted first and scored 154 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Krishna top-scored for Varanasi A with 41 runs, while Amit played a useful innings of 22 runs. For Lathiyan Cricket Academy, Abhishek took three wickets and Prince claimed two wickets.
In reply, Lathiyan Cricket Academy was bundled out for just 73 runs in 14.2 overs. Sarthak was the highest scorer with 14 runs.
For Varanasi A, Prince and Abhishek picked up two wickets each. Varanasi A won the match convincingly by 81 runs.
After the match, the Man of the Match award was presented to Krishna of Varanasi A by Arvind Shrivastava alias Kali Bhai.
