Dowry Death Case Accused Arrested by Kapsethi Police
Varanasi, March 10: Police from Kapsethi Police Station in Varanasi have arrested an accused who was wanted in connection with a dowry death case. The arrest was made as part of a special campaign being conducted under the direction of the Police Commissioner of Varanasi.
Acting on a tip-off from an informant, the Kapsethi police arrested Lalli Yadav (about 60 years old), a resident of village Bhagautipur, on March 10, 2026, at around 12:20 PM from near Sirhira Tiraha.
The accused was wanted in connection with the dowry death of Aanchal Yadav in Case No. 033/2026 registered under Sections 85/80(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
