Holi Milan Celebration Turns into Double Festivity as India Wins T20 World Cup
Varanasi: A vibrant Holi Milan celebration was organized with great enthusiasm at Jeet Home Society, where residents enjoyed colorful cultural performances and music. Women of the society added charm to the event by dancing to DJ beats and participating in the festivities.
The celebration became even more exciting as residents gathered at the society’s clubhouse to watch the live telecast of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final between India national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team on a big screen. Spectators cheered every boundary and six, enjoying standout performances by Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma with the bat.
Society president Ravi Shankar Sharma had predicted 85–90 runs in the first six overs, while India scored 92 runs and later posted a strong total of 255. During New Zealand’s innings, every wicket taken by Jasprit Bumrah was greeted with loud applause in the clubhouse. India eventually bowled out New Zealand for 155 runs to win the match by 95 runs.
Following the historic victory, several prominent personalities including former captain Rohit Sharma, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Amit Shah, Jay Shah, and Gautam Gambhir congratulated the team.
Residents celebrated the double occasion with music and dance at the clubhouse.
