PM Kisan Utsav Diwas: 22nd Installment Released, Over 2 Lakh Farmers in Varanasi Benefited
Varanasi: On the occasion of PM Kisan Utsav Diwas, the Hon’ble Prime Minister released the 22nd installment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana during a program held in Guwahati, Assam. The event was live-streamed across all development blocks of Varanasi and at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kallipur.
The local program at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kallipur was chaired by District Panchayat Chairperson Poonam Maurya. More than 2 lakh farmers in the district received the benefit of the 22nd installment under the scheme.
A Farmer Registry Camp was also organized during the event, where five farmers—Ramlal Maurya, Chedi Pal, Kashi Naresh Singh, Jitendra Narayan Pandey and Gulab Chandra Yadav—were registered and provided certificates.
Several officials, including Dr. N.K. Singh, Chairman of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kallipur, Joint Director of Agriculture Shailendra Kumar, Deputy Director Amit Jaiswal and Assistant Director Rajesh Kumar Rai, were present on the occasion.
