Mass Cheating Scandal at PAC Training Center in Varanasi; 600 Recruits Involved, Three PTIs Caught

Varanasi: A major cheating incident has come to light at the 34th Battalion PAC Training Center in Bhullanpur, Varanasi, during the RTC examination held on Tuesday. Around 600 trainee constables were appearing for the exam when three PTIs/ITIs were allegedly found facilitating mass cheating.
According to reports, the examination was underway when senior अधिकारियों conducted a surprise inspection, triggering panic at the training center. The three accused PTIs were reportedly writing answers on behalf of trainees and openly assisting them across the examination hall. On spotting the officers, they attempted to flee the scene, leaving behind answer sheets. However, officials grew suspicious and chased them down, eventually apprehending all three.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were actively involved in organized cheating with alleged support from a gazetted officer. The accused have been identified as Ashutosh Kumar Rai, Raju Kumar, and Vipul Kumar Mallik.
Following the incident, Ashutosh Rai and Vipul Kumar Mallik have been immediately suspended. Action against Raju Kumar, who is a constable from another district, has been initiated through official correspondence with the concerned authorities.
The inquiry into the matter has been handed over to an Assistant Commandant (DSP rank). Senior officers have been informed, and a detailed investigation is currently underway. The incident has caused a stir within the department, and strict action is expected against all those found guilty.
