Free Health Check-Up Camp on World Autism Day at Sanvi Multispeciality Hospital.

Varanasi A free health check-up camp was organized on April 4 on the occasion of World Autism Day at Sanvi Multispeciality Hospital, located on Modaila Road in Varanasi. The camp was held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, during which around 35 children aged between 2 and 12 years were examined.
During the camp, pediatric specialist Dr. S. K. Tiwari conducted detailed health assessments of all children. He also raised awareness about the adverse effects of excessive mobile phone usage on children’s development. According to him, prolonged screen exposure may lead to symptoms similar to autism, hyperactivity, lack of attention, and reduced eye contact in children.
Dr. Tiwari emphasized the importance of early identification and timely intervention in cases of autism and hyperactivity. He also highlighted the role of proper nutrition, stating that deficiencies of Vitamin D and other micronutrients can negatively impact a child’s growth and development.
On this occasion, anorectal surgeon Dr. Sharmila Tiwari stressed the crucial role of family support in a child’s overall development. She noted that children facing autism and other developmental challenges require continuous care, understanding, and encouragement from their families.
The camp also focused on educating parents about better childcare practices and providing proper guidance to support their children’s development.
