Agro-Industry, Academia & Farmers Conference–2026 Concludes Successfully at BHU

Varanasi: The two-day “Agro-Industry, Academia & Farmers Conference–2026” held at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) concluded successfully, bringing together experts, academicians, industry representatives, and farmers on a common platform.
On the second day, experts deliberated on key agricultural issues including crop grouping, judicious use of pesticides, and emerging regulations on bio-pesticides. Emphasis was also laid on the adoption of precision farming, artificial intelligence, drone technology, and modern agricultural machinery to enhance productivity and sustainability.
During the valedictory session, speakers highlighted the importance of establishing Custom Hiring Centers for farm machinery, promoting training programs for women farmers, and strengthening agro-processing industries along with skill development initiatives.
Experts stressed the need to increase farmers’ income by aligning production with changing market demands and empowering Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). The conference underscored technological innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship development as key drivers for the future of agriculture.
