SP Workers Protest Objectionable Posters of Akhilesh Yadav, Submit Memorandum to DM
Varanasi: Samajwadi Party leaders and workers on Tuesday expressed strong resentment over objectionable posters allegedly put up against Akhilesh Yadav and submitted a memorandum to District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar demanding strict action.
Led by SP MLC Ashutosh Sinha and District President Sujeet Yadav, party leaders alleged that anti-social elements had installed objectionable posters near PAC Chauraha in Ramnagar to malign the image of the SP chief and create social tension.
The delegation also raised the issue of demolition drives carried out in Baraipur-Kandwa and Chitaipur areas, where over 200 poor and backward-class families were allegedly displaced. SP leaders claimed the action was taken without proper notice despite residents possessing valid documents.
Former Metropolitan President Vishnu Sharma and other leaders demanded a fair probe and immediate action in both matters. The District Magistrate assured the delegation of an impartial inquiry.
