Varanasi’s “Super 40” Gives Free Education to 40 Meritorious Students Every Year
Varanasi: Known worldwide for its spiritual heritage, Varanasi is now emerging as a center of educational excellence. The “Super 40” institute, operating in Sanjay Nagar (Akatha area), has become a beacon of hope for talented students from economically weaker backgrounds.
The institute is led by Govind Sir, popularly known as “Varanasi’s Khan Sir” for his unique teaching style and dedication. Every year, Super 40 provides completely free education to 40 meritorious students, with an annual expenditure of nearly ₹12 lakh, borne by Govind Sir himself.
So far, around 240 students have benefited from the program and moved toward a brighter future. Govind Sir stated that, with support from the central and state governments, the institute aims to provide free hostel facilities to 40 students starting next year. The next entrance examination is scheduled for February 21, 2027 (Sunday).
The Super 40 initiative is being widely appreciated for ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder deserving students from achieving their dreams.
