Drone Technology to Boost Farmers’ Income, Reduce Costs: BHU VC

Varanasi, May 22: A one-day national workshop on “Drone and Judicious Use of Crop Protection Products” was organized at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University in collaboration with CropLife India. Around 400 progressive farmers, drone didis, scientists, agriculture experts and students participated in the programme.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi said that drone technology in agriculture will help reduce farming costs, increase farmers’ income and promote safe farming practices. He stressed the need for adopting modern scientific techniques to make agriculture more profitable and sustainable.

UP Council of Agricultural Research Director General Dr. Sanjay Singh encouraged farmers and youth to adopt drone-based farming technologies, calling it the future of modern agriculture.

Experts also demonstrated drone operations and shared information on safe crop protection practices and innovative agricultural technologies.
