Modi Era Gave India a New Identity, Strengthened the Foundation of a Developed Nation: Piyush Goyal
Varanasi/New Delhi: Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged from an era marked by policy paralysis and corruption to enter a new phase of development, good governance, and national confidence.
Speaking on the transformative changes witnessed over the past years, Goyal said that the Modi government has placed the empowerment of the poor, farmers, women, and youth at the center of its governance agenda. He highlighted several flagship initiatives, including Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, Digital India, Make in India, and Startup India, stating that these programs have significantly transformed the socio-economic landscape of the country.
The minister noted that farmers are receiving better support prices, women are gaining greater dignity and security, and young people are benefiting from expanded opportunities in employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He emphasized that the government’s welfare-oriented and development-driven approach has contributed to inclusive growth across sectors.
Goyal further said that India is now among the world’s fastest-growing major economies and is steadily progressing toward the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047. He credited modern infrastructure development, digital transformation, and economic reforms for strengthening the nation’s growth trajectory.
According to the minister, Prime Minister Modi’s historic tenure will be remembered not merely for its length but for the far-reaching transformation it has brought to India’s governance, economy, and global standing.
