National Workshop on Mining Industry Challenges Concludes Successfully at IIT (BHU)
Varanasi, May 30, 2026: A two-day national workshop on “Current Problems & Constraints in the Mining Industries”, jointly organized by the Department of Mining Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) and Directorate General of Mines Safety, concluded successfully on Saturday.
The workshop brought together mining experts, academicians, industry representatives, researchers, and students from across the country to discuss key challenges facing the mining sector, including safety, technological constraints, environmental protection, digitalization, and sustainable mining practices.
Speakers emphasized the need for stronger safety standards, technological innovation, and environmental responsibility to ensure the sustainable growth of the mining industry. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants and a collective commitment to addressing industry challenges through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
